LAKE MANYARA NP

Overview

Lake Manyara National Park assures a diverse and a unique wilderness experience. With a diversity of landscapes such as the Rift Valley soda lake, open grasslands, dense woodlands and stunning mountainsides. Apart from a spectacular setting, the park is famous for its unique tree-climbing lions and the vast elephant herds.

A SODA alkaline lake

It poses around its Rift Valley alkaline lake, a key habitat for hundreds of bird species. Between November and April, thousands of greater and lesser pink flamingos gather on its shores, along with pink-backed pelicans, yellow-billed storks, grey herons and pods of hippo.

A SPECTACULAR SETTING

The Park offers a wilderness experience in diverse habitats, from its Rift Valley soda lake, grassy plains, dense acacia woodlands and steep mountainsides. Home to unique tree-climbing lions and long-tusked elephants. Giraffe strut across the grasslands, where herds of buffalo, zebra and wildebeest graze.
